Start With Your Finished Bed Height.
Add the mattress thickness to the platform height. If the slats sit below the side-rail edge, measure to the slats for your support height. Include a topper or extra foundation in the total, then compare it with a bed you already find comfortable to sit on and get into.
These examples use the same 12-inch mattress with no extra foundation or topper. A low frame with a thick mattress can still produce a fairly tall bed.

Check the Whole Route
- Measure the bin with its lid, wheels and handles included.
- Check the gap between the legs on the side you will use.
- Allow for center legs and braces inside the storage area.
- Leave enough walking space to pull the bin completely out.
The lower rails on the 6-inch box platform create a different opening. Check that model’s exact usable space rather than applying the rounded-leg figures to it.

Mattress Fit
Check Slat Spacing Before You Choose.
Bilily lists these platforms as needing no box spring. Your mattress still needs the right spacing and support beneath it.
The selected 14- and 18-inch Queen dimension images both label the slat gap as 5.51 inches. For comparison, Purple requires gaps of no more than 3.5 inches when its mattress sits directly on slats without an additional foundation.
Check the requirements for your exact mattress and the diagram for your exact frame. Ask the mattress maker about an acceptable support solution if the two do not match.
A frame’s load-capacity claim does not answer the slat-spacing question. The 5.51-inch figure also should not be carried over to other Bilily sizes or structures.

Tools and instructions are listed with these options. Lay out the parts, follow the assembly sequence and make sure the slats are seated in their clips or supports.
The older box-platform listing describes a non-folding structure. Rounded-leg listings describe a folding frame component for setup; that does not establish that an assembled, dressed bed folds away for storage. Keep the instructions and part numbers for a future move.
